Why Miles McPherson founded a church
Over the course of this series, the church’s vision and the many ways it is realized will be put on display.
“Worship is a Holy Spirit-led response to the heart of God…”
Everything that Rock Church does is a response to what the Holy Spirit is leading. It has never been about having church services.
Rather, those services are a means to an end – and the “end” is that, once people are saved, encouraged, and taught, they go outside the church, to the very places that they were saved from, and share the good news of God’s salvation with others.
“Religion says, ‘Keep it in the building.’ The devil says, ‘Keep it in the building,'” said Miles.
But God has called Rock Church, and all believers for that matter, to demonstrate His Kingdom, destroying the works of the devil, and praying for and speaking life into others.
Do you “take the gospel to the street,” sharing the good news of God’s salvation with your friends and family who don’t know Him yet? Take a mental inventory of your acquaintances who don’t know God, and reach out to them this week to share the hope of God’s salvation with them. Remember, “the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” [Luke 12:12]
