The Dallas shootings: How the church should respond to acts of hatred
We’ll hear people on TV saying that we need to get together, spend time together, and develop relationships—which is absolutely true—but, as the people of God, there’s something bigger than that. There’s a higher calling and responsibility.
God is looking at the world, and He is saying, “Enough is enough! I want my people to start acting like MY people!”
Matthew 5:13-14 says, “You are the salt of the earth
… (and) you are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
Every single person was made in God’s image, and it’s His desire that the church to be a light on a hill and the salt of the earth, going above and beyond political correctness.
Instead of tolerating others and just getting along with them, instead of just trying to understand them, God wants us to LOVE people. He wants us to forgive!
