Is your life under control or full of peace?
Peace is the ruling principle in heaven in that sense that “there is no dissention or division, critical-ness, conflict… it’s all consistent, it’s peace,” said Miles in his Sunday message.
People imagine heaven to be peaceful, but often have an incorrect concept of what that means. Revelation 11:19 tells us a little bit about heaven, saying that “the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.”
However, in spite of the lightning, thunder, earthquakes, noises, and hail, there is peace in heaven because “it’s all going to be in accordance with who God is, and all going to be directed at God.”
Heaven is the kingdom of God, which means that it is all in submission to God’s authority.
On the other hand, the ruling principle on earth is control, which is when we try to curate the environment around us by way of exercising control. Unfortunately, this will never result in the peace that we crave.
Are you trying to bring your circumstances under your control, or are you submitting them to God’s authority? That is the only way that the peace of heaven can become pervasive in your life.
