How to respond to God’s calling

“My kids were born in California and, in California… when you ask a question… people say, ‘sure.’ It just drives me up the wall!,” said Miles in his Sunday message.

He continued, describing a post-dinner conversation with his kids: “‘Do what you want dessert?’ ‘Sure.’ I’m like, ‘look either ‘yes’ or ‘no’ ‘cuz I’m gonna eat it if you want it!'”

‘Sure’ is ambiguous. It essentially communicates, “whatever” and “I don’t care, one way or another.” God’s message to us is that He has a plan for us! He has something for each and every one of us.

And that purpose isn’t limited to going to church on Sunday. God created us to have a relationship with Him, and that He would establish the Kingdom of God!

He has a role for each of us in His Kingdom, and He’s going to call us. When He does, He’s looking for a “yes” or a “no” – not a “sure.” Are you prepared to say “yes” to God’s plan for your life?
