How to get direct access to the Throne of God
Our brains receive and process information about the world around us from the five senses:
This happens naturally. But, after all that information is received, we have the choice, and must make a decision to submit all that information to the Spirit of God.
From our perspective, the circumstances surrounding us might look bleak, scary, or even dangerous, but God’s perspective is different from ours. He is all-knowing and all-powerful. He doesn’t ever have to deal with uncertainty or doubt.
Christians are not far away from God, calling out to a silent or absent deity. Pastor Miles says that God says to us, in the midst of our troubles, “Fool, get up and come sit over here with me, and so you can see what’s going on, and come up on the mountain, and when you see everything that’s going on your mind is gonna change!”
So, when we submit all the information we receive from our senses to God, and we allow Him to interpret it, our mind will be renewed, and we will think more like God.
Next time you feel fear, anxiety, doubt, depression, loneliness, discouragement, anger, jealousy—anything negative—ask God to show you His perspective on the issue. Odds are you’re misinterpreting the information that your senses are providing you.
