God is trustworthy: He has never let you down
“God says, ‘I want you to obey me, and the more you obey me, the more your ability to obey me will be perfected or matured or completed.’ That is the whole Bible,” said Miles in his Sunday message. The current series, called Relationship Goals, seeks to teach Biblical principles for creating and maintaining healthy relationships based on the Trinity.
Even within our own minds, we can be conflicted about obeying God. That’s why, as 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, we should bring “every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”
Your best future is God’s will for your life.
When you deviate from His will, you are inevitably giving up your best possible present and future.
That’s why, when God calls you to do something, “by faith, you say, ‘Yes God, I trust you.’ Why? Because God has never ever let you down. Ever! Ever!”
CHALLENGE: Identify one area of your life where you aren’t trust God entirely. Odds are that, since you haven’t brought that area into obedience to Christ, it’s an area in which you’re struggling. Once you have identified that area, decide today to surrender it to God, and tell someone close to you about your decision, asking them to keep you accountable.
