God breathes life

The Bible says in Hebrews 4:12 that “…the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

In Sunday’s message, Pastor Miles explained that this is the life we find in the Bible: it reminds us, convicts us, encourages us, guides us and transforms us.

Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

The Bible is God’s word because He breathed it (according to 2 Timothy 3:16). It is alive because God doesn’t breathe death, He breathes life!

We have a written translation of the Bible because God chose to communicate His message to us in writing.

Additionally, He chose to communicate that message in a living form. In other words, He took the principles and teachings found in the Bible and made it into a person.

That person’s name is Jesus.
