Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: “King, we’re okay with dying!”
Sometimes we lose perspective because of the pressures of this life. We start running after status or possessions, and begin to get distracted with the things of this world.
Daniel 3 tells us that King Nebuchadnezzer required everyone in Babylon worship a gold statue. The penalty for disobeying his decree was death, but Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego disobeyed anyway. Why? Because honoring God was more important to them than life itself!
Is honoring God so important to you that you’re willing to die for it?
