Discover the power God has put at your fingertips

In John 14:12, Jesus said “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”

Prior to a church service at Rock Church, Miles McPherson was talking to another pastor, when the pastor told him that he only uses his iPhone as a watch.

“Like, he doesn’t, like, call people on it, or text people, or get emails – he just uses it as his watch.”

Say “amen” if that’s dumb

The reason that using an iPhone as a watch is dumb is that the phone has so much more potential.

The Bible tells us that, by the work of the Holy Spirit in and through us, Christians can do greater things than Jesus did while He walked on the Earth.

The question is, do we use that power that is available to us, or are we, like this technologically challenged pastor, using a powerful iPhone like a watch, only to tell the time?

Ask yourself the following:

– Am I taking advantage of the power the Holy Spirit has made available to me to do the kind of things that Jesus did (i.e. heal the sick or teach the Word of God)?

If not, ask God to make you aware of the power He makes available to you, and ask Him to direct you in how to use it.
