Danny Woodhead | My Story

When Danny Woodhead began to face adversity in his football career – the place where his identity and security came from – he realized that sports couldn’t be the center of his life anymore.

In spite of setting the NCAA rushing record (single-season and all-time), Danny didn’t even get an invite to the NFL scouting combine. Standing at just 5’8″ – he’s tiny by NFL standards, and his college production wasn’t enough to overcome his physical shortcomings in the eyes of scouts.

He was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2009 by the New York Jets, and later released. He signed with the New England Patriots, and never looked back.
